In the eye of the beholder

The berms are changing, taking on new character and personality as they shift, sag and begin to recede ever so slowly.

Which is why I've started to study them with renewed interest. As berm art.

Some berms have morphed into odd gravity-defying sculptures. Others are now canvases for street and yard detritus tossed together in strangely compelling abstract designs. And my favorite -- the berm as the pristine stage for a perfectly preserved remnant of an autumn day. Nice.
