You can go home again

Thomas Wolfe apparently never met my mother.

Because she's moving back to Wembly Place. On Thursday. Although I think it's pretty safe to say most of her treasures are already there and waiting for the furniture to support them.

And there is dancing in the streets in Bermtopia.

She's worried about what her friends will think. Who cares? I told her tonight when we talked -- as well as last Thursday when this change seemed to be brewing. You're 85-years-old, sharper than a tack and financially flexible. Just do it. Get back to your garden and kitchen. Your garage. Your Westbrook neighbors and community. Get back to what you love.

Mom, just do it.

Which she did.

Nicely done, mom.
